History
Reasons to Believe (RTB) was established in 1986 with the awareness that people have a fundamental desire to understand our world, the universe beyond it, and the implications of that knowledge for their beliefs.

A conversation was started which eventually gave birth to the RTB, A-PAC on July 10th 2021. This hailed as a new and historic chapter for the mission of RTB globally and the Christian community in Asia Pacific and India in particular.

What we do?
We are thinkers with well-grounded reasons to believe that faith and reason are friends rather than opponents. We emphasize on the importance of questions and dialogues as truth invites and withstands testing. We make every effort to help people discover that sound reason and scientific research consistently affirm the truth of the Bible and of the Good News it reveals. .

What is our vision and mission?

• EXPLORE – To help people understand God’s revelation in nature and reason pointing them toward the Creator of the Universe.
• ENGAGE – To have meaningful conversations with seekers and sceptics and to engage their doubts to offer what the Biblical Worldview offers.
• EXAMINE – Questions about the deep questions of life on origin, meaning, morality and destiny needs to be answered.
• EQUIP – To help other believers to think well and give good reasons for the hope that they have. .
“But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect". 1 Peter 3:15 (NASB) .

RTB|APAC’S STATEMENT OF FAITH
Scripture: The Bible—God-breathed and without error—is the supreme authority revealing God’s nature, creation, and the plan of salvation through Christ.

God: There is one eternal, perfect God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is Creator, Sustainer, and worthy of all worship.

Creation: God’s creation declares His existence, power, and wisdom. Both Scripture and nature, rightly understood, reveal His truth and do not contradict.

Person of Christ: Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily, and now reigns as High Priest and coming King.

Person of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates believers, glorifies Christ, and empowers the Church for godly living and service.

Man: Humans, created in God’s image, fell into sin through Adam, resulting in separation from God and the need for redemption through Christ.

Redemption: Through Christ’s atoning death and resurrection, God offers reconciliation and salvation to all who believe, by grace through faith.

Justification: Justification is God’s act of declaring sinners righteous through faith in Christ alone, based solely on His grace.

Resurrection: Christ’s bodily resurrection confirms His victory over sin and death, offering eternal life to those who turn to Him in faith.

The Church: The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to proclaim the gospel and live out Christ’s love and truth.

Hope for the Future: Jesus will return to reign eternally, judge all humanity, and bring either everlasting life or separation based on one’s response to the gospel.

The Great Commission: Jesus is the only way to salvation. We are commissioned to make disciples of all nations, teaching obedience to His Word.
